Roy Hummel

Roy’s life began on January 28, 1925 in Towanda, KS; the son of Ruben and Edith (Wynkoop) Hummel. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Roy was united in marriage to Betty Needham on August 12, 1963 in Miami, OK. Roy was a master craftsman, making custom furniture and woodworking. He was an avid hunter and fisherman as well. His family includes his wife, Betty of Wichita; children Sharon Mead of Overland Park, KS, Gail Lane of Wichita, Tim Hummel of Augusta and Chris Hummel of Basehor, KS; 8 grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 2 at 11am at Walnut Valley Memorial Park in El Dorado.
