Richard Thomas Hawes Prestidge

Richard Thomas Hawes Prestidge was born on March 21, 1953 in Regensburg, Germany; the son of Gaylord Henry and Patricia Maureen (Kelly) Prestidge.
Rick was raised in Minnesota and moved to Kansas as an adult. He was an avid Hockey and Minnesota Vikings fan. He was a semi-truck driver for several years and retired becoming a cab driver. Rick was known for being an animal lover and would talk to anyone he ran into.
Rick is survived by his wife, Malinda of the home; father, Gaylord "Buck" (Evelyn) Prestidge of Arizona; son, Ricky (Christine) Prestidge of Kansas City and daughter, Hannah Prestidge of Houston, Texas; stepdaughters, Catrina (Michael) Harris and Tamisyn Holdren; grandsons, Skelly (Tyra) Stephens, Carson (Hailey) Stephens and Adrian Prestidge; granddaughter, Liza Prestidge and several other grandchildren; brother, Jonathan "Johnnie Walker" Prestidge of Atlanta, Georgia.
Rick passed away on April 24, 2021 in Kansas City, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia; first wives, Joann and Bev; daughter, Felicity and grandson, Cornell.
His memorial service will be held at Carlson Funeral Home on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Wichita.
