Phillip’s life began on May 24, 1954 in Oelwein, Iowa; the son of LaVern and Lettie “Faye” (Clawson) Leverington. Phillip was united in marriage to Annetta “Ann” Schick on April 13, 1975 in Wichita, KS. He worked hard for his family and perfected a craft working construction specializing in concrete. Phillip enjoyed spending time with his family, attending his children and grandchildren’s sporting events and other activities. Phillip was a jokester and loved working and piddling around his house. He was a farmer at heart and raised pigs for many years—he always loved his animals. Phillip was also a member of the Antique Tractor Club. His greatest joy through it all was his family which includes his wife, Ann of El Dorado; children Heather (Anthony Dotterer) Leverington of Bellefonte, PA and Megan (Justin) Van Sickle of Emporia, KS; grandchildren Asher Dotterer, Bailee Van Sickle, Kasen Van Sickle and Carlee Van Sickle; siblings Charlene Yowell, LaVern Leverington Jr., Marsha Johnson, Robert Leverington and Jeffery Leverington. Phillip passed away on March 24, 2021 in Wichita. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mark Leverington. Friends may gather with the family on Sunday, March 28 from 5-7pm at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 29 at 10am at Carlson Funeral Home.
