Michael "Mikey" Newcomer

Michael “Mikey” Shaffer Newcomer, age 30, of El Dorado, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Mikey was born on February 9, 1991 in Vicksburg, Michigan. He enjoyed working in housing construction with his brother, Joshua. Mikey enjoyed skating, playing football, playing video games, and listening to rock music. But his real love and passion in life was his family. He adored his children, Mason and Logan. He loved to play football with his boys and have family barbeques throughout the summer. His family truly was his life. He would do anything and everything for his family. Mikey was a very loving and devoted son, brother, and father.
Mikey is survived by his parents, Robert Kelley and Janet Sergent; children, Mason and Logan Newcomer; love of his life and mother of his children, Laramie Bird; brother, Joshua (Jackie Singleton) Newcomer; sister, Tiffany (Stephen) McCoy; grandmother, Ginger Sergent; great great grandfather, Walt Kirkpatrick; niece, Kyra Sergent; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mikey is preceded in death by his niece, Gracie.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 2:00pm at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home.
