Emma Marie Twibell, 94, the daughter of Robert Allen Wilson and Lela Grace (Falkingham) Wilson, was born December 5, 1926 on a farm near Rock, Kansas. Emma was raised in the Rock and Isabel, Kansas communities. She resided the majority of her adult life in the El Dorado, Kansas area. Emma married Norris Twibell in 1949 and enjoyed their lives together, which included traveling, fishing, enjoying nature and the outdoors, until his passing in 1962. She worked her entire life. Her last employment was at Beechcraft, where she enjoyed her work for about 40 years, retiring in 1991. Emma’s husband, parents, special friend Clyde Knollenberg, brothers Frank, Fred, Edmond and John and sisters Stella Brill, Mary Etta Prewitt, Grace Morgan, and Edna Wilson, nephews Dean Brill and Alan Wilson and nieces Ruth Bailey, Lore Kempton and Brenda Cousins precede her in death. Her sister Edith Spencer of El Dorado, Kansas, nephews Ray Brill, Bob (Pat) Brill, Gary (Sandee) Morgan, Freddie Wilson, David (Debra) Wilson, John Wilson, Bill Wilson (Grace), Larry Wilson (Judy) and Jerry (Tonia) Wilson and nieces Margaret George, Donna Daniels, Hazel Baumgardt, Pat McCurdy, Karen (John) Glaves, Linda (Tom) Willard, Velda Smalley, Shirley (Marion) Reece, and Jan (Dennis) Dobbs as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews survive her.
Memorial donations in Emma’s name can be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 5-7pm, with a funeral service to follow on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 10:00am, both at the Kirby-Morris chapel. Burial will follow at Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
